Rethinking Remembrance Day in Schools

ForcesWatch have just published a brief paper on Remembrance Day for people working in education. It explores ways in which teaching remembrance in schoolscan be used as a way of encouraging critical thinking about what and how we remember, -and how this can be used to foster a culture of peace.

The paper includes ideas on how to approach Remembrance Day, and links to education resources and background reading.

The paper is designed to be useful for teachers preparing for assemblies or classes on remembrance in both primary and secondary schools.
