Pressure Groups: Nuclear Weapons Yes or No?

Pressure Groups explores how groups like CND, Greenpeace and Oxfam operate, covering their rights and responsibilities.
Part of the Nuclear Weapons Debate series – this module’s activities follow CHECK, WATCH, LEARN, THINK, CHALLENGE structure, with research, design and newsletter work.

This is the most strongly Modern Studies-specific unit – directly maps to N4, N5 and Higher Modern Studies pressure groups content (Democracy in Scotland and the UK). Also the most creative unit: design challenges (poster, T-shirt) work well for mixed-ability classes and can be submitted for publication on our website. The Rights and Responsibilities exercise is a strong standalone activity for PSE/HWB contexts.
