The Nuclear Debate

The Nuclear Debate is is aimed at late primary to early secondary school pupils. Each unit is based around a core booklet, while video and further challenges can be selected at the teacher's discretion.

The Nuclear Debate, one of our most popular modules, contains 5 structured themes (CHECK / WATCH / LEARN / THINK / CHALLENGE) designed to fit within a single lesson, with optional extensions.

Three debate challenges of escalating difficulty: (1) Nuclear Debate (core), (2) WWII atomic bomb debate, (3) Cold War debate (most open-ended). The resource is designed to be objective, balanced and stimulate debate.

Pairs directly with 0002 (Nuclear Explosions), 0103 (Trident), and 0104 (Pressure Groups) as part of the ‘Nuclear Weapons: Yes or No?’ suite along with the video resource: 0121 (nuclear-debate-video).
