This month we are launching a new resource “Nuclear Deterrence and Israel” to explore the concept of nuclear deterrence and understand why Israel’s nuclear arsenal may or may not have prevented conflicts.

We aim to answer questions asked by young people, providing references to assist teachers, and stimulate discussion on current events.
Recent studies have shown that both teachers and the public are in favour of more information, debate and education on nuclear disarmament topics.
We intend to look at the nuclear weapons of India and Pakistan in due course.
