A recorded webinar (Duration: 1hr 13mins) hosted jointly by Peace Education Scotland and Glasgow Women’s Library in August 2021, marking the 40th anniversary of the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp.
Features intergenerational speakers including peace activists, artists and archivists with personal and research connections to Greenham. Themes include the legacy of Greenham on peace activism and protest culture, feminist perspectives on nuclear weapons, and nuclear colonialism.
Best used as a source for extended research or as a stimulus for Higher/Advanced Higher coursework on women’s history, peace movements, or 20th-century protest. Quite long for use in full with younger classes, but selected extracts could work with S3-S4.
