International Day against Nuclear Tests.

29th August is International Day against Nuclear Tests.

On our website https://www.peaceeducationscotland.org/ you can find educational materials including our ‘Morality’ video featuring our interview with Karipbek Kuyukov (a painter who was born near the Semipalatinsk Soviet Nuclear Test Site), and our ‘Environment’ video featuring details of the USA’s nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands.

We also have materials relating to the UK nuclear tests in Maralinga, Australia. Nyarri Morgan, an aboriginal elder, had his first contact with western culture when he witnessed a British atomic bomb explosion in the desert. Please get in touch for an opportunity to view a Virtual Reality film of Nyarri’s experiences, or to arrange a classroom presentation via info@peaceeducationscotland.org
